Champion X  undertook improvement and upgrade works to their existing blending facilities at their Aberdeen plant. As one of a number of large scale electrical projects that Clearwater have been responsible for on site, two new blending vessels were installed as part of the upgrade works.

Each blender comprised of installation of new Agitator, Offload Pump, Radar Level Gauging, Weighing System, Earth Rites, Actuated Valves and Control Stations associated with the Blender operation.

Existing hazardous area lighting was rerouted and reinstated around the blender areas whilst the roof of the existing shed was removed to allow for installation of the new tanks.

Within the existing switch room, modifications were required to update existing cubicles, installing new TP&N distribution board, mounting free standing Variable Speed Drives and High Level Alarm Panels. All project cabling was routed via basket & tray containment throughout the plant.
